Buongiorno amici lettori!
La seconda metà dell'anno tecnicamente inizia a luglio, ma per quanto riguarda le uscite libresche io considero settembre l'inizio della metà dell'anno... e quindi delle mie ultime letture attese, prima di ricominciare tutto da capo con l'inizio del 2021. Leggo tanto, ma sono davvero pochi i libri per cui butterei tutto da parte pur di leggerli immediatamente e se nella prima metà dell'anno ce ne erano alcuni questa lista si è creata solo ad anno inoltrato, perché tra annunciazioni in transito e nuove ossessioni anche questi ultimi mesi saranno pieni di emozioni.
Dalla lista sono esclusi Blood & Honey (recensione qui) e The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue perché li ho già letti.
THE POPPY WAR e GIDEON THE NINTH
Leggo la maggior parte dei libri in inglese ormai, ma qualche volta riesco a trattenermi e ad aspettare l'uscita in italiano di alcuni romanzi (
forse perché sono lenta a leggere e ho troppi libri in TBR). Per questo ho deciso di lasciare questo primo spazio a due libri la cui traduzione uscirà in questi mesi.
The Poppy War (La Guerra dei Papeveri) di R.F. Kuang uscirà il
6 Ottobre, mentre
Gideon la Nona di Tamsyn Muir dovrebbe uscire il
27 Ottobre, entrambi per Oscar Vault. Questi libri sono due dei fantasy più apprezzati al momento, sia per la loro originalità che per lo stile di scrittura delle scrittrici. Inoltre entrambi sono tra i libri preferiti di Erika e sotto sua minaccia... eh, volevo dire suggerimento devo assolutamente leggerli al più presto!

BROKEN KINGDOM
Una delle serie che più mi ha intrattenuto durante l'estate è decisamente la
Royal Hearts Academy di
Ashley Jade. Tra scandali, amori e amicizie non sono riuscita a staccarmi da queste pagine e ora sto contando i minuti che mi porteranno al
22 Ottobre, giorno in cui uscirà
Broken Kingdom, ultimo libro della serie. Fin da subito questi romanzi mi hanno ricordato Paper Princess di Erin Watt, quindi se volete leggerla non vi aspettate la serie della vita, ma qualcosa di semplice e non sempre corretto che però vi assuefarà fin da subito.

CRAZY STUPID BROMANCE
Altra serie che mi ha stregato durante l'estate è la
Bromance Book Club di
Lyssa Kay Adams e il
27 Ottobre uscirà
Crazy Stupid Bromance, il terzo romanzo autoconclusivo. Questa serie è totalmente diversa dalla Royal Hearts Academy, più dolce e delicata ci porta a scoprire il lato dolce dei personaggi maschili. Perché diciamocelo anche se ci piace leggere ogni tanto dei bad boy alla fine a conquistarci sono quelli buoni. Tra second chance, enemies to lovers e adesso friends to lovers la Adams racconta storie per tutti i palati riuscendo a far innamorare così i suoi lettori.

24 Novembre sarebbe uscito un libro dal punto di vista di Cardan mi sono quasi messa a piangere dalla gioia. Amo la trilogia
The Folk of the Air e credo che
How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories sia un aggiunta pazzesca, tra il background di Cardan, un nuovo epilogo e alcune scene riprese dal punto di vista del nostro caro principe crudele non potevo chiedere di più alla Black. Adesso speriamo che ci dia solo gioie!

1 Dicembre Sabaa Tahir ritorna a distruggerci il cuore definitivamente con

An Ember in the Ashes. Ho appena letto che la scrittrice ha riscritto gli ultimi tre capitoli poco prima di mandare il libro in stampa e dire che io sono pronta ad essere distrutta emotivamente non è uno scherzo, vorrei mettermi a pregare per i miei personaggi preferiti, ma ormai so che è inutile. Quindi se non mi faccio sentire a dicembre sapete a chi dare la colpa...
